25 cal Barrel

So I just received a Lone Peak RAZOR action and am having a 25 CM built . Heavy Sporter #6 Contour 22 “
Now what # groove would you prefer 4 or 5R or 6 🤷‍♂️ tell me which and why . Twist will be 1-7.5 inch

Try not to derail this topic and or turn it into a **** show please . Thxs RJ
.
I too am having a custom 25 Creedmoor being built. I'm using a Browning X-bolt action from a Hunter Model in 308 Winchester.

The barrel will be a #2 KS Arms Stainless Fluted Barrel, cut to 20" in length.

I like the 5R rifling just because I've had great success with 5R rifling on TC firearms in the past. And I just like the term 5R...........;)

Would the #4 or #6 groove really make a huge difference Jim in the 25's performance overall?..........

I have a 25x47 on a 1x7 5-groove barrel. Lights out!!!

I was told that even-numbered grooves put more pressure on bullets than odd-numbered ones. This is because the odd-numbered grooves are not directly across from each other, unlike even-numbered grooves. I shot 4 and 5 on a 6mm barrel and couldn't tell the difference. But with all the 7.5 twist barrels I've shot, I will say the .5 makes up for my bad trigger pulls.

I don't understand that theory... the pressure on a bullet is all from behind and once the bullet has travelled it's own length in the rifling it is fully engraved by the rifling.

What happens to the bullets engraving in a gain twist barrel? Does the 5R make cleaning easier and increase barrel life. Cut rifled or button or hammer forged?? SOOH many choices and so many thoughts and theories.
