Well, I finally got around to working on changing my Stevens Mk12 tip up over to centerfire using 22 Hornet brass. I've run into a question, the brass has a slight taper between the neck and the rim so the brass won't chamber fully. Will the 25 calibre loading die solve this? Or??? .....

I know that is the way they are supposed to be but my question is, what should be done to allow the brass to fully engage in the chamber. Will the loading die solve it or do I need to re-work the chamber?

You rebarreled and cut a new chamber? reamer, I have never loaded 22 hornet.
25-20 Stevens, single shot is a different round than 25-20win it is a longer round.
Maybe post in reloading.
Sounds like your chamber is not finished.

I think that you missed my question completely. This is an ORIGINAL Stevens Marksman 12 in 25 rimfire. Changing it to 25 Centerfire. Part of the "change" is to employ cut down and slightly modified 22 Hornet brass. But the original 25 rim is a straight wall brass and the 22 Hornet has a slight taper so it won't chamber fully. ...... That is the issue that I'm trying to figure out.

It might - the case diameter measurements are pretty much the same.
Length isn't though - 25 Stevens is 1.125" long, 25 ACP is 0.615"

There is a really good group on Facebook that has a bunch of guys who do this, feel free to PM me and I can send you the link.
