250 Savage+100Grn TSX

Depending on what twist is in your barrel the bullet may be at the limit for stabilization due to it's length. If you have 1/14 it might be iffy. 1/10 no problem most likely. You'll have to try it and see.
 
Well your doing at 200 yds what my 25'06 does at almost 400, so it ought to work.
Why the TSX?
Unless it shoots the wings off of flies it's hardly necessary in a caliber that might drive them out at 2950fps at the muzzle.
But then again that's maybe just my logical and frugal side showing.
 
2900 fps isnt exactly slow, and a 100 grain bullet isnt exactly heavy. A tsx in the 250 would be a great deer load, and capable of taking bigger game too. I would try 4895 or RL15/Varget
 
zg47; use a rotating cleaning rod, tight patch and a felt pen and you can establish the twist quite easily.
