Anyone know of any place that stocks ammo for a .250 Savage? Having absolutely no luck in Winnipeg. My nephew inherited a Model 99 from my brother after his passing last year and would really like to get it fed. It looks malnourished.
Thanks

Epp's lists it as .250-3000 Savage. No prices or brand though. It'll be Remington or Winchester. Winchester loads 100 grain Silvertips under their Super-X brand only.
Shooter's Choice, in Waterloo, Ontario, lists Remington 100 grain SP's at $34.95 per 20. Lever Arms wants $24, but 'in store pick up' only.
Your local gun shop should be able to order it for you. Be prepared to pay up front. Usually best to order more than one box.

Join us in the reloading forum, bring a bag of new 22-250 brass, some 250 savage dies, a little bit of fast powder, some cream of wheat, a little toilet paper, some rifle powder, primers and bullets. By the 100th round, you'll be ahead of the game financially, shooting much better ammo than the factory could ever load.

Ordered from both Cabela's & WSS last July and still nothing in. The reloading route may be the way to go. Have wanted to get into that for years for my .243, now I've just got more reason to get off my butt.

Call MacDonalds in Portage. I get mine there off the shelf. Bought a M77 RSI and had the same issue.
