250gr Hornady FTX in .460SW

Has anyone tried this? The 250gr FTX was designed for the 450 Bushmaster but there are rumblings that it works fantastic in the .460S&W as well. Supposedly a much better choice than the 200gr FTX. Would be curious to try but my powder (based on current availability) would be H110.

MGM barrels lists a load as follows: (16" barrel, 1-20 twist)

• Hand-load with the 250 FTX and start mild.
• There’s very little, if any data to load with this bullet, but it’s a far superior choice over the 200 grain factory ammo.

• 250 grain Hornady FTX seated at 2.385″
• 42 grains of Lil’ Gun
• CCI-200 Primer
• Hornady Case
• Velocity range 2597fps

I don't have a 460 but I've loaded them in 45 long colt +P loads and 454 casull and they grouped nice

Lil gun is great in a 45colt case. I was seeing 1750 fps with 25.5g lil gun and a 250g xtp. 16” bbl.

The 460 load is gonna be a Hammer. Like a hot 45-70.
