250gr Hornady XTP's in .45 Auto

Hey guys, I got a couple boxes of these 250gr Hornadys dirt cheap from a friend and am hoping to load them for my R1 1911. I've got a can of Titegroup and some HS-6. Has anyone loaded these heavier bullets for a .45 auto using these powders? I've been searching the webs but haven't found a recipe yet, any input would be appreciated.

250 gr sounds like they are for 45 Colt?

I doubt you'll have enough room for powder after seating to an OAL that will work.

I believe they are yes but I have read where they're safe to use in the .45 auto if loaded correctly. I'm just wondering who's done it and how much powder they used.

Here is some data I plagiarized from another forum. Use at your own risk. I honestly thought a JHP 250 would be too long to work well in the ACP. I have seen lots of ACP loaded with lead TC bullets around 250 but that is a different scenario. If the velocities are accurate it's moving along at a reasonable speed. I really doubt expansion would be reliable, or even present though. Those bullets hold up well at 1400+fps...
