.257 Roberts Ballistics question.

Anyone have any info on Federals 120 gr +P offering?
I have been having some problems getting this stuff to group at the range.
Getting about 3 inches at 100 yards out of my BLR.
Should I go to the 117 gr standard load thats been out there for Years?
I have not tried the 117 gr's yet as the rifle is fairly new to me.
Also how do regular 117 gr loads perform on deer compared to the 120 gr +p stuff?

I'd try the Hornady 117 grain load

There's not a deer alive that a 257 bob won't take with a 115-117 gr bullet, with or with out +P ballistics. Try some of the Hornady lightmagnum loads if you can find any, or just load up a good 100 gr bullet yourself, if you handload. - dan

People have even used the 100 grain bullet for a "one size fits all" for shooting anything from coyote to deer

Thanks dan-----I am going to start reloading but probably not this year and wanted a factory load that I feel comfortable with as deer season is fast approaching!!! ( yay!)---I'll try the 117's and see how my Browning likes them!
