i am looking for some advice on a good load for my weatherby . i have been trying a few things , but nothing has been real good .

A load that I've had a lot of luck with in two .257s is 67-68 grains of IMR 4831 and either the 100 grain Ballistic tip or the 100 grain TSX. The two loads shoot to the same zero in both rifles, which may come in handy some day.

The first rifle was being a little picky until I tried 4831, the second I just started there. My kid is sitting at 9 straight deer with his rifle and this load, including 3 sets of doubles. Nothing needed to be shot twice.

I just started loading for the 257 Wea and have tried some IMR 7828 with some very impressive results on both 87 gr and 117 gr sierra. A friend says that he has had some ludk with RL 22 also. Have fun with working up a load.

257

The load on the left and right are 71.5gr of retumbo with WW brass and mag primer, 115gr partitions were .480'' and the 110gr accubonds were .380''
The rifle is M700 with a gaillard barrel and Mcmillan stock.

Cheers John
