I think I may have found my load but I’m a little concerned about pressure. The load is 100gr ttsx over 71gr of 7828 at 3.250 COAL brass is nosler and weatherby. I’m very new to reloading so I’m open to whatever you want to say.The day I shot this is was hot and sunny, I’m getting some pressure signs, minor extractor marks and slight primer cratering but not flatlining. But the cases look almost identical to the factory weatherby 100gr sp rounds I fired as well. Bolt lift and extraction was identical between factory and reloads and very easy. My 70gr loads also looked the same. I realize every rifle is different but does anyone run a load similar to this without problems? I’ve read that primer cratering and extractor marks can just be from the bolt having loose or long firing pin /extractor

Where did you get your load data? Barnes data lists the 100 TSX with a 69g max charge of 7828SSC, which is the same powder just short cut grains, but data is the same, so you're a full 2 grains over their max. That in itself may not necessarily mean anything as every gun is different, but I don't think it's wise to start load development over recommended max. And you're COAL is quite long.

Have you checked to make sure the bullet isn't contacting the lands? That'll raise pressure a lot. Yes Weatherby's have a lot of freebore and normally you can't touch the lands anyhow, but you didn't say what make of rifle you're using.
I've shot the 257 for years, but usually with RL22 as it's been very consistent for me.

A loosely fitted firing pin tip will show primer cratering at lower pressures than say a custom
action or one where the manufacturer accidentally got it right. Those ones may never show that particular pressure sign no matter how hot you load it. Still, factory ammo rarely caters even in the loosey goosey ones so that's telling you something.

Barnes data for the .257 shows a max of 69 grains of 7828 so your pressure is probably real enough.
