.257 Weatherby Mag

Hi Gents! .. maybe the wrong forum, but the mods can move it if they so choose.
I am looking at re-barreling an old rifle in .257 Weatherby Mag .. just wondering what you guys that reload and shoot this round think of it?
Reloading issues?, concerns?, better choices?, is it accurate?

I want a good, all around cartridge .. long range hunting, plinking, target, etc.

I like 7MM mag, but want a little less recoil and the same flat trajectory. I just want to be different!!

i used a .257 wea for years very good deer and black bear round, i killed one moose with it, did that too, but i think it may be a little light for all rounder,,

I personally thing they are excellent for deer to black bear sized animals with 110-120gr bullets, they are a little light for bigger game, I f you are going to reload you could go to 6.5 calibre adn be more versitile. The 270 weatherby kicks a little less than the 7mm and is a sweet choice.
