With a 1 -1/16" threaded chamber dia what actions can a take off Weatherby MK V be fitted to allowing enough thread purchase/shoulder etc........? Thanx Harold

Harold: Some info. out of F.D.Haas Mauser book. MkV-16 TPI/ Tdia-1.060. Some common Mfgs. Ruger-16 TPI/ Tdia-.998***Savage-20 TPI/ Tdia-1.055***Small ring Mauser-12 TPI/Tdia-.980***Large ring Mauser- 12 TPI/Tdia-1.100***Sako L-579-16 TPI/ Tdia-1.00. Of course if you totally remove the threads and start over will you have enough barrel thickness at the chambre? Not many options if you want to save the threads as you can see. --- John 303.

Remington 700, 721 and 725 all have a 1.060"- 16 TPI thread.

What TPI is the weatherby? Otherwise, you could prolly get-it to work on a small ring mauser, like the turkish 1903. You may see a tiny bit of threadroot left but that's FA.
