Hi guys,I'm thinking about buying a .257 Weatherby. The brass is pretty expensive and hard to find,I'm just wondering if a guy can make his own brass out of something else, and how difficult it is.Anybody had any experience with this? Thanks in advance.

the .257 wthby, .264 win, and .270wbty, are all fantastic chamberings, and they are all in the same ballpark when it comes to downrange energy velocity, etc. if you are out there after moose or elk I would go to a .264win for a minimum, unless you can shoot a paper plate at 100yds. freehand, any time any place.

There is nothing wrong with a 257 Weatherby,i had one till a few months ago but my son still has one,he has shot several moose with his using 120 Partions.all 1 shot kills. There are not to many rifles that shoot flatter.
