I picked up an older European scope in a package deal recently. Scope tube appears to be 26 mm - do/did any manufacturers make a 26 mm Weaver compatible ring?

TIA

Not a lot of folks that still make 26mm as far as I can see. Some that may still for a weaver base are:

Lynx will (apparently now on special order) - they are nicely made steel rings

EAW for sure make a 26mm ring - used the quick detach and they fit a 26mm tube fine (say they are 1"/26mm - but in reality they are closer to 26mm and will secure - somewhat - a 1" inch tube ... you may need a little bit of brass shim if the scope is 1", heavy and recoil stiff) they are very nicely made steel rings and VERY pricey.

Talley - I believe

and not for Weaver but still Very nice ... Conetrol make 26mm. I don't own (yet) any Conetrol rings but will for sure one day!! They are very nicely made.

(Despite what folks say - I have not had happy experience putting a 26mm scope in a 1" ring...and have tried both steel and aluminum tubes fwiw)

(btw - Kesselring used to make a 26mm ring out of aluminum but overall pretty poor quality fwiw) I think I may have come across others ....?

Yes - I'm aware that 1 in rings are 25.4 mm, but I dont think the average ring can tolerate 24 thou oversize without consequence. AP - Thanks for the guidance.

Cosmic....putting the 1" rings on a 26mm tube will result in crushing damage when caps are tightened. It's an expensive lesson and one I experienced with a 4-10X Pecar. You can get bases and rings for your rifle/scope combination like Parker Hale, EAW, and so forth. Ron

I think I may have come across others ....?
... yes apparently I have and my mind is only partly gone Cosmic -- as I look here at home I discovered I also have a set of rings from B-Square labeled "Interlock" ring system and on the back say:

#10226
26MM RING
Adjustable

STD. DOVETAIL
Blue

These are set up for a weaver style base - unfortunatley a quick search of B-Square's site doesn't show them listed - but worth a call.
I will eventually put a Zeiss (Jena) 26mm in it and stick it on something deserving.....

(the bar code reads 0 54082 10226 8 fwiw)
