Am thinking of a future rebuild to 260 AI and wondering about reloading dies. Have no experience with AI so have questions. I have a Redding Type S Match Neck die set (with bushings) and am wondering if the regular 260 Rem neck die and seater will work with the AI cartridge. Does the AI take the taper out of the brass making it too large to fit in the alignment sleeve? Or would the regular 260 Rem neck resizer or seater work?

JEC I had to get my seating die reamed out from a standard size to the Ackley version because of the different measurements at the neck area. I don't know about your neck sizing die though. I would check on the AI reamers measurements and see how close of a match they are with the dies as some Improved reamers vary in specs.

The dies are totally different in regards to internal dimensions. The body taper of the AIed casing will not fit into the redding Comp dies without modification.
We stock 260 AI comp bshing dies from Redding

I use a Forster 260R BR seater for my 6.5 mystic and 260AI. Works just fine. I started with a Lee 260R standard seater.

I use a Lee collet 260R neck sizer and it works just fine.

My shoulders are bumped using a 7-08AI redding body die.

I think you will find many Reg. 260 dies will work with the 260AI as most dies have a huge amount of room inside the dies.

YMMV.
