Just got a model seven LSS in 260, asside from the fact ammo is a little tougher to get what do you think about this rifle? Its for whitetails at ranges from 40 to 200 yds.:) Also its topped off with a leupold VX II in 3x9x40.

I love my model 7. currently wears a VXIII 2.5-8 but will soon get refitted with a VXII 2-7x33mm. 260 is a great round, there was a big 6.5mm bullet test thread on here a while back

As Tod said, it has turned out to be one of my most favorite rounds since I purchased my Finnlight in .260 light, fast easy on the shoulder great performance. I love my Finnlight so much I just totally pimped it out by purchasing a new McMillan stock from there internet specials for just 380.00
I will never sell this gun that how highly I think of it.

Remington had a real winner with this cartridge and they have been piddling it away. They should have been offering it in everything and actually promoted it. I just don't understand what Big Green is thinking.

I don't follow? Getting ammo for a .260 is exactly the same as for a 308, 30-06, or anything else. First you decap and size, then prime, then dump in a lil powder and then seat a bullet. There's nothing special about getting 260 ammo :p
Yea, I can't imagine NOT reloading.

I was shocked the other day when I was at a gunshow and priced some factory ammo. It's been so long since I've purchased factory ammo, I had no idea how much more it costs.
