Well finally managed to get out to a place to shoot the final rifle. From my last outing a had two loads narrowed down to test and a decided to fool around with seating depth a little bit as well. All shots were on the public range at Homestead, table was a little wobbly but I will own that. Shots were from a bipod and rear bag. A couple things I did learn today:
Need to keep cases out of the sun, I think maybe that had some effect on powder temperature?
Barrel and me appeared to get better with more rounds down range.
Finally, 0.5 MOA is pretty easy to get in 3 shots like lots of people post, but sending another 2 bullets to the paper, you need to be on your game to hold 0.5 MOA!

So here are the results with the 260 Remington, Lapua Brass, 123gr Scenars, and H4350 powder:

I think the barrel is still pretty new so hopefully more rounds will help it and me.

I am running 45gr of 4350( safe in my gun and i worked up) in prepped rem brass( will be going lapua this winter and working up again

Ya, these were the tow loads that showed promise from the ladder test. Things started to open up for me near max. I will see if groups shrink during next couple of trips, if not i will move onto the 140 gr Nosler Custom Comps I have.

I found a nice load at 44.1g of h4350 with the 123 laps, right now I am trying to work up a load with h4831sc to see if I can get rid of my vertical, but it's proving to be hard to get range time that is not like being in the oven! Had lots of down time today but it was 38+ out

coal means nothing. need to measure off the ogive and use a comparator for true seating depth.

Not sure if you are using a factory rifle or a custom, and i assume its 100 yards/meters.

Results are good for a factory barrel. If custom, I'd try some 4831 or even RL17

I would try 139gr Scenars and 140gr Bergers over RL17 or H4831sc. Both of these combos work in my .260 AI as well as a couple of .260 rems.
