.260 vs 7mm-08 vs 308

Try the 130 grn TSX from a 260. At 2750 fps+, it is formidable on deer and, at reasonable ranges, on moose, bear and elk. The 7-08 and 308 give a larger margin of confidence given the heavier bullets you can load. But, as most game is taken under 100 yds, how much margin do we need to seek?

7mm08

7mm is hands down superior in everyway well i think and i call it the magic 7. It is the way to go so i have divised a rifle for every velocity. 7mmBr for silouettes and plinking 7mm08 for deer and 7mm mag for bigger farther ones. 777 how can you beat that?

Btw: 7mm08 handles moose just fine. Didn't weigh the recovered bullet but i may be able to find it again and if i do ill weigh it. It was a 140 gr sierra spbt. I do recall it had that perfect mushroom look to it.
