Hey guys I have tried to do some research on Google but everyone seems to want to save the pelt with a 270, I'm wondering what's the best factory ammo to use in a 270 if I just want them to drop dead where they stand and not worried about saving the pelt or how large of a wound I create. I was originally hoping to use something in a 150 grain so I could use the same ammo for everything and not have to sight it in for each thing I want to hunt, however I was told that the bigger stuff (130-150 grain stuff) will not expand very good and pass right through and have a greater chance at having a "runner". The whole reason I bought a 270 was because I want something over kill on them so I can drop them where they stand at fairly good distances. I bought a 270 to be a good all around gun and I am not interested in buying another gun. I also own a 22 mag that I was originally going to use but I was worried about it being too light. Thanks for the input in advance guys.
