I just picked up a Browning BAR lightweight stalker for an unbelievable deal.
So, now I am looking for a good .270 varmit recipe.

I have experience with re-loading pistol calibers, but, none with rifle. This will be my first. I am looking for a good small game/ ground hog round.

Thanks for any recipes.

prosper, thanks for the bullet selection. Also, what I am looking for is if anyone uses .270 for varmiNts, what is your load recipe?

What grain size, type of powder, and primers have given you the best results.
I am not looking for a 500+ meter target rifle load. It would primarily be for varmiNts out to 225 meters.

Thanks for any favourite recipes.

the Hornady Vmax 110 gr and Speer TnT 90 gr will give you the best performance for varmints

Varget or H4350 should be the two powders to try first.

Any large rifle primer should work, I prefer Federal 210M when I can get them
