270 vs 308

What's the difference between a 270 win loaded with a 140 gr bullet and a 308 win loaded with a 150 gr bullet ?

It would depend on how much gunpowder in each, .270 of course having larger capacity.

about a 1/2 inch in oal .. but you can use the .270 W for hunting in Southern Ontario

They both kill the same stuff and come up short in the same areas... my recommendation would be based on the platform chosen...

Generally speaking the .270 will shoot a bit flatter.

I have read that the 7-08 is more efficient then the .308.
