270 Wby with 180's

Anyone use this combo? Wondering about load info and if it's worth it. What kind of speed can you get. Seems like it would be a killer set up if it can shoot flat enough. Thanks

Does anyone even make 180 gr 270 bullets anymore? And weren't they usually round nosed?

The 180 gr.for the 270 that I have are rnd. nose.DAN>>>

I have 180 gr Barnes originals in 277. They are round nosed bullets. In my 270 Wby I can only get them around 2800 fps. Better to go with 150 or 130 gr x BULLETS. - DAN

While the 180 grain RN could work, it would seem to me that you would be better off with 150 grain Nosler Partition. Better velocity, and with controlled expansion you shouldn't have to worry about what range you hit your target.
