.270 WSM vs. 6.5 x 55

If you reload the 6.5 would be great, coyotes..deer..bears...moose it will do it all . Also you could always get 100gr and I think 95gr .277 bullets too so..

How many 270WSM barrels have you burned out????

I have never burned out any, simply put the 270 WSM as much as I like it does not make it as a varmint round. I equate varmint shooting to high volume shooting and would not choose the 270WSM as a varmint rifle due to the high barrel wear with light bullets and heavy powder charges, it's nothing new that this recipe spells disaster for barrel life. Of coarse for the "ocassional" varmint shoot both are adequate but not ideal. Then again a caliber that can be used on varmints to moose is a strech and the rifle will be a compromise. IMO
