28 ga Challenger (Cheddite)

I have looked at all the manuals etc for data for the 28 ga Cheddite (Challenger) shotshell. 3/4 oz.
I am curious..... anyone loading these????
If so. what are you using???????

Try the data.hodgdon.com/shotshell I think they list Chedite hulls with Longshot powder.........Harold

The Hodgdon website is good. The Cheddite hulls are straight wall, so you need to use the right wad - eg Claybuster 5034-28. Longshot and HS-6 powders are available these days....

Where do you find federal wads for 28ga??? Haven’t seen any “straight wall” wads anywhere for at least a few years now.

The only wads available for 28 g these days are Claybuster. You can certainly use the CB 5034 wads in the Federal hulls. These wads are available from places like Hummason, Lawry's, Sporteque, etc.
