At a gun show yesterday I obtained a green 28 gauge Dominion Canuck shell. This is the first and only 28 gauge green Dominion Canuck shell I have ever found or heard of.All the 28 gauge Dominion Canuck shells I have seen before were orange.Either bright orange or white/orange.The white/orange most likely caused by age and poor storage.

Does any one have an information on the green 28 gauge Dominion Canuck shell? Were the shells originally green then changed to orange or was there some other reason for the green shell? How long were the 28 gauge green Canuck shells manufactured?

Posted this way back in 2009.Still have not been able to find any information on this cartridge. So I thought I would bump it up,in case someone may have some information on it now.

I have a few boxes of Canuck plastic 28gauge # 4 and they are as Red as Red gets . The orange ones i have are #6 paper hulls . I have gone through all of my CIL product info right through to the IVI days no green to be found in sporting shells maybe a industrial application ?. I have some 8 gauge (smelter) slugs they are purple and head stamped Industrial.

Hello thanks for the information.Yes the green 28 gauge Canuck shell is a bit of a head scratcher .This one is the only one I have seen or heard of.

Interesting you speak of plastic 28 gauge Dominion ammunition.Cannot say I have ever heard of Canuck 28 gauge plastic ammunition.Have paper red Canuck ,but no plastic 28 gauge Canuck.Interested in parting with an of those? Are they 2 1/2 or 2 3/4 inch shells?

Have red and orange paper Imperial and red plastic Imperial 28 gauge 2 3/4 inch. The paper 28 gauge are C-I-L and the red plastic I have in both C-I-L and I-V-I.
