Ithaca is going to introduce a 28 gauge version of their Model 37 pump shotgun this year.Specifications are to be listed on the Ithaca website in May or June with delivery of shotguns to be late this year.

Would like to have a nice 5 pound 28 gauge pump shotgun.A 28 gauge Model 37 Ultralight could come in at that weight.

I live in Canada.From an e-mail with Ithaca they said that at present they do not have any dealer in Canada but I could order one directly from them.

I have not been in contact with the Canadian Firearms Center yet but it is my understanding I can get the necessary papers for importing the shotgun from them.I may do that or I may get hold of a company that at present is importing firearms from the U.S.A. and have them import the shotgun for me if I decide to purchase one.

I am hoping the 28 gauge version of the Model 37 will be built on a smaller frame and weigh in at about 5 pounds.
 
On the updated Ithaca web site they have announced that the 28 gauge Model 37 will be built on its own frame size.

Also announced is a 16 gauge version Model 37 for later this year and plans for O/U and SXS Ithaca shotguns.
