28 Nosler anyone?

I had the opportunity to purchase a 26 Nosler for about $1000. I almost couldn't resist, but before I jumped on it I read that the 26 and 28 Nosler calibers will eat barrel's. I don't abuse my guns by any stretch of the imagination. But only getting 1000-1500 rounds for a barrel before 'severe accuracy loss' scared me away.
Any truth to the barrel burning?

It's going to be the same as an STW for barrel life. That is to say; either infinity (for
Most) or just the blink of an eye for a few.

Your number guess is as good as any. Much depends on your accuracy needs, and how good it was in the first place. Nosler putting it in a short magazine doesn't help.
