280 Remington

My most accurate load for my sako is:

58.5 gr RL19 and 120 gr hornady sp. Average group has been about 3/4 " at 100 or 2.5" at 200. Get around 3000 fps with this load.

Mine too likes 150 Corlok's & either 4831 or 7828.
Well actually it likes 139 Horn's 150 Horn's, 168rn Sierra's, 150 Corloks or most anything else you shove into the end of a case :)
I have always had best luck thou with slower powders with 4350 actually being on the edge of being to fast burning INHO

280 rem

I went outside the typical box
.5110" (4) shot group with 160 grain accubonds at 100 yards
56 grains IMR 7828 ssc ( slower burn ) 1-1.5 gr under max pending on manual
2700-2750 FPS
2'' high at 100 Yards
zero at 200 Yards
hold dead on anything out to 250 yards
2nd mildot on scope and I am nuts on to 300 yards , zero hold.

Good luck , I've tried a bunch , this worked best in my browning Abolt II .280

How long is the barrel on your Abolt? I never thought to try real slow powder with the heavier bullets in mine. The manuals all showed velocity penalties.

I have found RL19 and IMR4831 to be good performers in my 280.

53 grns RL19, 160 grn Nos Partition for 2700 fps shoots MOA

53 grns IMR4831, 140 TTSX for 2975 fps shoots MOA

Both use Fed 210 primers.

PLEASE WORK UP YOUR LOADS! These loads are under published max though in both the current Barnes and Nosler manuals.
