.280 Ross handload question.

Anyone worked up loads for the .280 Ross? I know bullets were originally .287 dia, but has anyone tried .284 bullets with any success?

In my experience .284 bullets give mediocre to poor accuracy....I have had better luck using paper-patched cast bullets.....

I have had the best results with bullets from Huntington, of course now a person has to deal with more paperwork, but still possible....

They also have .280 Ross cases made by Horneber

I have used all of these products from both places, fortunately for me I purchased and received thes items before the current bout of restrictions.....

Thanks for reply. Will see if I can find a source here in Canada, I'm sure you've looked into this though. Fellow I got my Ross from gave me a box of RWS 8X68 brass he heard could be formed into .280 Ross, bass looks a little smaller diameter to me though.
