Looking at building a 280ai. i am undecided between the 175gr accubond long range or the 160 gr partition.
I know the ABLR is a thinner jacketed bullet compared to the regular AB, but the bullet should do well in the 280ai considering that it wont be running at a screaming velocity. I am guessing around the 2800-2850 mark. The 160gr partition would be faster out of a 24" barrel. I plan on using either H4831sc,H4350 or Viht N560. Would be used for deer up to moose if given the chance.
Just checking to see what others opinions are on these two bullets and powders.

Thanks in advance

Between those two, I'd go with the 160gr Partition

I would have more confidence in the penetration of the Partition at typical hunting distances, especially on moose

I'm pretty much boycotting nosler due to availability and price. I like the stats on the 180 eldm but will probably end up using the 145 lrx for hunting. I would like to try the 165 tipped gameking but can't find any.

Lots of reports on American forums of the ELDM being very good on game animals including Elk, haven't tried it myself though.
My 2 go to bullets with my 280AI are 162 eldx and 150 tsx so I can't comment on the OP's choices.
