28g. rem wingmaster price????

It's likely a good deal depending on the condition and configuration of the gun. It's a good price for an 870 Skeet or a gun with a vent rib and choke tubes, less so for a plain barrel, field grade with a fixed choke.

Shell availability depends on where you are. You won't find them at Wally World or Canadian Tire but most reasonably stocked gun shops will have or can get them them. They are pricey and will be more expensive than 12 or 20 gauge. In factory form there isn't a lot of variety of shells with only light target or small bird hunting loads. No slugs or buckshot. We 28 gauge fans typically reload.

But for small bird hunting, clay shooting and general fun with very little recoil the 28 is hard to beat.

As Claybuster said it depends on conditon but it sounds like a good price.New Remington Model 870 Wingmaster shotguns are not cheap.

The 28 gauge is a great gauge. It patterns well and has light recoil.Shells in some areas are a bit harder to find. Some want a good bit of coin for the shells. The best is to shop around and get the best deal ,even if it takes awhile. When you find a good deal which you will ,buy all you can.

If you plan on shooting only a box or two a year it will not matter so much.

"...shells easly available..." Depends entirely on where you are. Reloading will fix ammo scarcity. Mind you, you still have to find hulls.
Ep's lists 28 ga. ammo.

Price seem fair if the shotgun is in VG-Exc condition. I came across one in Exc condition that I couldn't resist....this one has an engraved receiver and cost me a bit over.

A bit off topic, are Briley chokes (i.e. IC/Mod etc that come with the 28ga Wingmaster) also able to handle steel?
