Ok, so I didn't like my last paintjob I did on my stock so I did it over. Here are some pics. The holes are for an R33 cheekrest(not shown).

I really like it! I just need an M14 from marstar to go in it. I hate waiting...

Krylon paint is reasonably durable if handled carefully. Several CF members used this paint on their personal weapons when they were first deployed to Afganstan and the only real wear points were at the pistol grip and forends as the sand present at this location acted as an abrasive and took off much of the paint at those points. Otherwise for light to med. use this is a reasonable finish.

Great job MB:) Nice use of colour and breakup pattern. Do you do desert digital as well?:) Noticed you filled in the selector cut out. What did you use?

I notice that the crappy tire camo paint is affected by oil, does anyone know of a clear satin/matt spray that would oil proof it ?

Didn't someone in another thread mention tremclad? Then there's also duracoat which I hear mentioned plenty of times on American web boards. Most likely available up here too.

Skullboy uses Excel Colorcoat Matte topcaot. I have used the Krylon fusion clearcoat on top of truck bed liner with good results.
