Computer illiterate so posting pics is beyond me. I've been offered a 2nd model Luftwaffe dagger. The dagger is in vg condition. I do not know the makers mark. It has the tassel and hangar still attached. I'm looking for a fair market value to offer to the seller who has no idea what it even is. I've looked around and have seen them valued from 399.00 to 800.00 U.S. And in Europe prices seem a lot higher. Well this is not Europe or the U.S. So any Info I can gleam would be greatly appreciated as it really would be a heck of a show piece but am not going to short change a friend. Regardless any key things I should look for with to prove its authenticity? He's had it hung in a closet for close to 40 years but I know even the. There where reports being made. Cheers

Just took a quick look at the dagger. White handle wire wrapped but the red flag for me is there is no makers mark on the blade. Where they all marked.

Well identifying whether or not its a genuine article seems to be of paramount importance.

Genuine article= $300-800 dependent on condition, model, paetncey

Knock off= $19.99-57.99 dependent on quality of counterfeitment

Nothing quite as funny as a Nazi dagger celebrating white power and Arian superiority stamped with the words; Made in Pakistan LoL

Bought mine, with portepee 450 sold it later 450. It was an Eickhorn , v.g cond. but with ding in scabbard.
Yours, if original, being unmarked is a big negative from the start, then comes cond. etc. You might ask 400 range. Lots around.
 
Absolutely hordes of fakes out there. Even 40 years ago, fake Nazi stuff was common.
European prices will be higher. NAZI stuff is illegal in a lot of European countries.

Could you please tell us which countries it's illegal in?

I know people in France, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, Poland, Ukraine, Italy, Czech Republic, that own, and buy and sell nazi stuff....
 
A lot of counterfeit Nazi daggers from Spain ...ie Hitler Youth knife with different grips minus the crooked cross........Harold
