The NY trigger springs push against / work against the trigger - the stock springs assist the trigger (heavy duty spring assists the trigger... more); makes the trigger lighter, apparently so much so that they dissuade from using it with the 3.5# connector.
The NY1 trigger spring and the 3.5 connector are the best trigger combination in any Glocks, gives a nice 5.5lb pull without the crappy coil spring playing havoc with the trigger pull. The NY1 trigger with the 3.5 connector gives a nice consistant pull with no creep or jerking movements common with the coil spring.
Most serious competition shooters use this combo in there Glocks as it makes the stock trigger pull way better than the regular connector and the coil spring.
There are no concerns using the NY1 or NY2 springs with 3.5 or 5lb connector, the armours manual states that these NY springs should never be used with the 8lb connectors only.
BTW-OEM Glock parts are the only way to go, all the other aftermarket parts to put into Glocks are inferior.
I am really surprised in this thread that someone hasn't referred to a Glock connector as a "disconnector" yet, which seems to be so common here on CGN. Maybe we are learning.......
