I have a mid 80's Squires Bingham Semi 22. Model is PSomething, 60? 40? maybe 20? I don't recall off the top of my head.

Id like to scope it for my son to use.

I have a 3-9x32 bushnell scope with a 1" tube. Anybody offhand know what the width of the dovetail is? 3/8"? metric equivalent is 11mm I think.

Suggestions?

European 11 mm and North American 3/8" are close, but not the same. 3/8" is measured at bottom of dovetail - so where the tips of the cutters would be - usually have 45 degree angle on dovetail, so measures close to .5" across the top. European measure across the top - 11 mm, and they typically use 60 degree angles on dovetails. I have not handled one exactly like you mention - best for you to actually measure the dovetail before you buy parts. Can get confusing - I do believe that, for some years, CZ 452 rifles were being made with either the 3/8" or the 11 mm dovetails. I am not sure about other makers.

Some makers a bit "loose" with dimensions - so Parker Hale catalogue says their "B" series was 17 mm wide and their "A"series was 19.5 mm wide - listed in catalogue as "nominally" - of the several or dozen that I have measured, not one is at the exact measurement.

"thanks" button. lol.

I noticed a lot of sloppy rings lately. was hoping to order set online from somewhere, but to be sure I'll have to double check the width.

All I have to measure is my old eyes and a metric measuring tape. My luck it'll measure 10mm and I'll order the wrong one and have to return it, because thats how my luck rolls.

You could buy Warne rings. The clamp is reversible so it does American and European dovetails

^this, they can be used for 11mm or 3/8". (instructions online on the WARNE site, including a video)

Another option might be BKL rings, a brand I'm very fond of. D&L Airgun (BC) sells them.
