I am currently looking at 3 options for my R 597HB:

TASCO World Class Illuminated Reticle WC39X40IR

BUSHNELL Banner Multi-X Reticle 713948

SIMMONS 8-point Riflescope 510513

Any suggestion based on factual experience with any of these scopes?

Bushnell banner. I have one on my 597 blaze oarnge and a bushnel trophy mil-dot on my M70 6.5x55

The tasco will be hard to keep on zero, the paralax sux! And you don't need an illuminated redicle on a scope that won't put the cross hairs on target. I HAD one trust me.

And the simmons is no better than the tasco.

You may want to consider a nikon prostaff rimfire. They are adjusted to a 50 yd. parallax. These are extremely bright, & the 2 I have are repeatable in elevation & windage adjustments. Normally on a 22, a 50 yd parallax is desireable. All depends on what kind of shooting you do. Both mine have the BDC reticle. Bought my 1st one 2 years ago, the 2nd one a month ago, they are great value for the money.

Just found a Bushnell Trophy 3-9 (40mm) 73-3948 from Crappy Tire. It was a display item no box and mounts for $ 39.99 + tax. Can't beat the price. Looks bright and nice adjustment knobs. I just need a high mount and the weekend to the range.

I have the Bushnell on one of my 22's and it's fine for plinking or small game within reasonable distance. I haven't had many good experiences with Tasco or Simmons products.
