Why buy a cheap scope???

Wait till payday.... sell something.... or get a loan and purchase better quality optic.

I've gone through through cheap scopes before and now I'll never buy another.
 
If it's for rimfire, not sure you need a 40mm scope. Feel free to straight up disagree, but I have a 3-9x32 and it works great. I also know someone else who has a 32mm and has no problems. I had this debate when looking for a scope, and after much discussing, I realized I won't be using my .22 to reach out to targets beyond 250yrds. At this point, I will probably rarely use the 9x zoom and fully utilizing the 40mm lens. Additionally, if you are on a budget 3-9x32 will run you $60-80
 
Since its for hunting ... look for an old used ScopeChief IV .. you may have to settle for a fixed 4x as others have said.
