Thinking of how to combine a summer vacation into an epic PRS Rimfire match experience at the same time?
How about you and your family camping on beautiful Comox Lake as you shoot the match, then exploring mid-north Vancouver Island before or after?
Vancouver Island Rimfire Series has created a unique match format that we think can be done by many clubs that want to expand their PRS shoots.
A: Intent is a fundraiser for the 2025 CAPRA National Rimfire Team. 1st Open and 1st Lady will each earn a $1000 Bursary should they be accepted to the 2025 National Team. If neither match winner makes it onto the team, then we will do down the list to 3rd place, and if no one in the top 3 winners in each category make the national team, then we will donated the funds directly to the Org for general revenue support.
B: We have some absolutely awesome sponsors and a generous prize table. More on that on our website. We are also looking for some stage sponsors.
C: Match Format - we run 3 different leagues at our club and we will run the monthly COF's as part of the tournament, then correlate all the scores separately for tournament standings. You can expect 1 Full Day PRS Series Rimfire COF (10 stage) , 1 half day shoot with the ORPS COF (5 stage) and 1 half day shoot with the NRL22 COF (5 stage) - this will enable you to get your monthly league scores as well as earn tournament standings both at the same time.
During your 1/2 Day off days, you will be expected to support the shooters that are having their shoot days by RO'ing or Scorekeeping, or general errand type stuff (running food / water etc)
This will NOT be a CAPRA Qualifier as we do not have the 200 yard distance as required by the org to make it so, however, CAPRA shooters hopefully will find the prizes enticing enough to attend.

Onsite dry camping included. Food service package available. Local hotels 15 - 20 mins from range
There is also evening bar/social nights on Wed and Fri and a BBQ on Sat after we're wrapped up.
40 mins from scenic Mounth Washington 15 mins from Cumblerland BC (Canada's premier mountain biking community) 45 mins from Cambell River (some of Canada's best fishing) 90 mins from Strathcona Park. Lots and Lots of activities avaible to make the trip one to remember.
Ladies receive the $30 Vortex "Ladies Shoot Free" discount from their match fees.
Early registration discount offer until midnight July 5th.
