3 days Backpacking in Paradise.

CGNers, I just spent 3 days up on the 'Tops' of our Alpine National Park in pursue of Sambar Stags.

We had no shortage of Stags but most were I nthe Cast , Early stages of Velvet or Hard Velvet stages, with only 3 of around 18 stags in Hard Antler.. would have seen 20-25 deer in the 3 days and had a big Southerly blow in an with it came Snow... for November, this is Wild!

didn't see anyone else either, that's what I like!

Altitude was around 1600 M ASL

one very unusual experience, witnessed 4 wild Dogs come out of the bush an sniff up past this Velvet Sambar Stag. poor pics but get the idea! we don't see them often, an not near deer/ thought they were giing to have a go at the Deer... but moved passed each other

And here I though you were tracking along a topless beach for three days!! Never tire of your posts. Shouldn't you be heading into summer now?

ahh yep! We are supposed to be entering Summer! we have had one of the Wettest Springs on record! to be seeing snow in November is pretty unusual!

Dogs = Alpine Dingo.. although not believed to me much % of Original genes in the Dogs now days, these having one Solid colour indicate to me they are pretty close to!
some 'Wild Dogs' = Cross breeds , Feral dog, come in all sorts of Colours. and they should be shot.
