3 Gun, how do I get involved

I live in Calgary, I have been shooting for a couple of years and would like to get involved in 3 gun competitions. I just don't know how. Is there training required (like blackbadge), where are the competitions, are there group practices? I appreciate any help.

Keep in mind... ipsc isn't the only 3-gun game around.

Both Medicine Hat & Lethbridge had 1 earlier in June. Lethbridge will be having another 1 on the weekend of 25/26 August and Medicine Hat will have a 2 gun match (Pistol/shotgun) in September.
