3 man duck limit in 35 minutes....

After two years of missing each other and schedules not matching I got out for a field hunt with fellow CGNer, Ontario Gunner. Better than that, Aidan got to go on his first field hunt and it was over fast. The birds were in our faces and decoying to with 5 yards at times. Most of the shooting was over within twenty minutes and OG and I just sat there for the next 15 minutes as Aidan scratched down the last of his limit with his single shot 20.

A big thanks to Ontario Gunner for the loan of the extra layout and all the footwork he did to put it all together. The guy is a class act and knows his stuff.

The boy's face says it all as he poses with our mix of mallards, pintails, and wigeon.

not bad! Last week just east of Calgary we limited out (4 guys) on ducks in 15 mins. Didnt even need to hide in the blinds! just sat up and shot and reloaded as fast as you could!!

Honestly,, that field was shot twice in the previous 3 days. If there was 3 "seasoned" hunters in that field. We could have been done in under 10 minutes im sure. But that was more fun than hammering them super fast.
