Good day all! Anyone here loading that bullet in that weight and caliber? I bought 2 boxes of it and tried to find load data for it but doesn’t seem to be available… I might have to pay access to hit on Hornady’s site maybe…
The rifle is a browning bar and a Ruger M77 mkII and possibly a Ruger no1 RSI(if it doesn’t sell)
Thanks all!

On bit the bullet and bought there latest edition on the app….. Interesting that they don’t make any difference between loads for lead bullets and copper bullets….. anyway I have lots of IMR4350 I might try that!
Other interesting thing is none of there reload in there barrels actually reach 2800fps when I have ammo from them that state 2820fps….

Thanks, I got that now! But interesting that they don’t differentiate between CX/Gmx and regular lead core bullets?!?! I all the books I have they are separate….

Maybe because there’s really no need to?

Had a client shoot a big bear through the shoulders at 20 yards with a 180 cx from his 300 weatherby. Bullet was under the hide and looked perfect, thought it would have peeled petals.

Yes - close range with that much speed is a challenge with a 30 cal bullet. I am reminded by a deer shot by a family member about 10 years ago. Head shot with a .270 Win softpoint - it pencilled through and did not expand at all. I tend to carry an Winchester 94 lever in 30-30 when I am hunting short range. I am going to use my Marlin 1895CB in 45/70 as soon as I have the feeding issue addressed.

I do intend to order some to test for accuracy (190gr CX for the 300 PRC and 130gr for 6.5CM). ELD-X might have done the opposite at 20 yards (explode/lots of meat loss).

That is what I’m hoping, to have good expansion, but not coming apart… I’m hoping the advertising is correct that it also opens at lower velocity(further ranges)… I have lots of IMR4350 so I will start with that!
