30-06 a-max 168gr benchmark 44gr help

I just loaded up some 30-06 168gr a-max with benchmark 44.0 gr. I'm new at reloading and the only data that I could find on this powder was from the hodgdon website witch said.

168 GR. HDY HPBT 44.0gr 2614 vel. 47.2gr 2760 vel.

would that be pretty much the same as I have done. I wanted to start at the min and work my way up till I found what shot the best.

Looks okay, all you did was change from 168 Hdy HPBT to 168 Amax. Glad to see you are starting low and working your way up. Watch for pressure signs.

Try H4350, in several different 30-06's I have loaded for it always seems to be the powder with 165/168 gr bullets. 58 grs get close to 2900 fps, without working to hard.
