30-06 ammo type??

Can anyone recognize this ammo. 30-06 Imperial (I think it was. Ammo is not here with me.)

Has a copper tip, but is sepaarte (?) from the rest of the bullet.

I believe Remington, and maybe others, produced a bronze tip bullet. Not 100% whether it was intended to initiate expansion on impact or to protect the bullet from battering in the magazine under recoil from previous round being fired.
