30.06 brass to 8mm mauser anyone do it?

as per title has anyone done it? anything to watch for

how well does the brass stand up to this??

I load mild loads can i expect regular service life from this brass?

I've converted 1 or 2 hundred to 8mm. Time consuming but works well. I have only loaded them a few times so far.

x2, but unless you have a pi**pot full of '06 brass that you have no other use for, I would recommend you buy 8x57 brass. A lot less work (especially all that trimming!) Reformed '06 brass will stand up OK, and most military 8x57's have generous throats that will preclude the need to neck turn it. Regards, Eagleye.

With the 8mm been shorter than the '06, are there problems with neck thickness on the newly formed 8mm?
