looking to simplify my bullet selection for my 30-06.
I need a round that i can use for both black bear and whitetail hunting, where most shots are usually under 50yards, (sometimes 100yards+ but it is unlikely).
I usually use 150gr for deer and 180gr for bear, but believe that i can use 1 round for both, what do you guys recommend i try/use?

I will be trying many different types, brands, and grains... but would like to know which you guys have had better luck with in the past. (this will also be my practice round for the range, so price is also taken into consideration).

Goose25,
For under 100 yard, usually under 50 yard shooting like you experience just pick the 180 bear load you like and use it on deer as well. Deer aren't particularly hard to kill, I've killed dozens with a muzzleloader. Practically any factory load or sane handload you can assemble will handle your needs. It would be hard to find something that wasn't accurate enough at your ranges. Since you mention cost I will suggest Hornady interlocks, a great bullet at a good price.

This is what I was considering trying/using. Do you suppose it would be efficient for use on blackies?

VERY, but it may depend on what your gun likes to shoot. If you get into reloading someday you'll be able to tweek loads to suit your gun but till then buy a box and see how they shoot.

I reload 165 interbonds for my 06 and they have taken bear at 10yds and mulie at 200, no trouble at all, and the Partition is thought by many to be a better bullet.

Any good 165 or 180 bullet should suffice rather nicely for your needs. Like some of the other guys, I think a 165 is a pretty good all round weight for the .30-06, as long as your rifle shoots them well. I wouldn't hesitate to use a 180 either.
