I'm once again asking if anyone knows where to find some ammo for an M1. I was able to purchase some of the PPU stuff made specifically for the M1 earlier this year . Seems to be out of stock everywhere.

Any help appreciated.

Reloading is probably the best option, but Bullseye London has some M1 specific 30-06 for sale, and another store in the GTA has some (I think it was G4C the last time I looked). You could also buy an aftermarket gas plug for the rifle that will allow you to shoot commercial ammo. InRangeTV on YouTube have a few good videos about it.

Its out of stock too, but Cabelas now makes the Herters line in 150gr which was the cheapest I'd found about a month ago and shot very well. Keep an eye for when its in stock online or your local stoee.

Get a Schuster M1 adjustable gas cylinder plug and shoot whatever round you like, and don't worry about damaging anything. A cheaper option than reloading. If you can't find them in Canada it's easy to ship from the states like anything else. No import/export concerns. Looking at approximately $70 after exchange and shipping

Saying that, I reload for everything that I shoot with the exception of 25-20, and I'll still use the adjustable plug in the Garand because sometimes it's nice to not have to chase the brass
