.30-06 Load??

Was wondering if anyone had a good/dreat .30-06 load I can try. I found that factory 150grs shoot really well(FMJ). Have some 150gr fmj at home but was wondering what kind of powder tp try.

try 46 grs H4895 under a 150 gr, should be fairly mild (2700 fps) but accurate when I tried it with 150gr SBT

sorry missed the gun , A warm load with 165 sierra, I think was 55 gr of imr 4350, if it was it got me 1 1/2 @ 200 meters from a drop block ruger.

Yep! This is usually not a very warm load with a 180, let alone a 165. Eagleye.

I load something similar (50 gr.) for a friends BAR. This Powder and bullet weight gives good pretty good speed. You will find that the other powders in that burn rate will give you similar results.

A max charge (52 gr. and above) of imr-4064 (may not be safe in your rifle) should get you pretty close if not to 3100 fps depending on the barrel lenght etc. (this was from testing a 22" barrel) and that's not too shabby for a boring old "ought six".

IMR4064 is your friend. IMR or H4895, or Varget will do nicely too. Work up the load using data from your manual. Don't just pick one.
