Good results with this ammo in my new Sako 85 Bavarian Carbine. Claimed muzzle speed of 720 m/s or 2362 fps (23.6" barrel) is a bit low compared to my chronograph reading of 2380 fps from my 20" barrel. Grouped about 1" at 100 meters off the bench. Not bad considering the Leupold 2.5x scope has an actual magnification of 2.3x.
The 220gr Hammerhead is a bonded core bullet and has a decent ballistic coefficient of 0.408.
The real test is how the rifle shoots off hand. 2 shots off hand at 100 meters are within the 6" diameter circle which I figure is better than minute of Moose shoulder. Don't see a need to handload for this rifle for hunting because it shoots this factory load accurately and the 220gr Hammerhead should perform well on heavy game so I'm ready to go.
