in case you are wondering...2 seconds

There's an inside story to me doing this,..from another forum (AO) and of Course my Old Buddy Chuck Nelson

I would have been impressed if you hit 5 apples off a barrel of screech without damaging the barrel.

Wow a lever is faster then a bolt..... thanks.

5 shots in 2 seconds is pretty quick ( even though you feel it's pretty average) at a 50 yard target/threat.
I think if you slowed down a hair say to 4 seconds you might improve your accuracy but if an animal is right on top of you say under 15 yards and closing then blasting like you did would be the way to go.

Were you shooting a target?

Results?

Shot at a stump at just under 40 yrds,...hit it 4 times...one hit in front..

These demonstrations of fast shooing remind me of a grave marker in the old boot hill cemetary in Tombstone Arizona.
The grave marker, telling of the man burried there after being the loser in a gun fight states, "He shot often enough, but not straight enough."

Nice example of what leverguns are capable of. i will back you up on the fact that they can be shot even faster than in the video... hell, i can shoot my 444 almost as fast and still hit in a 12" circle at 40m... not quite as fast due to the recoil, but almost. and that hit's HARD! but never the less, a 30-30 levergun can be shot with decent accuracy very quickly, IMHO on par with a semi auto but more reliable.
