I assumed the 7.5 * 55 Swiss Ordnance Cartridge uses a 7.5mm Bullet.
The fact that it uses a 30 Cal. Bullet (.306) is very good news. It would also reduce the cost of this Project considerable and would allow the use of 30Cal sabots for the .22 Cal Bullets.

7.5x55 is a fine cartridge. The Swiss had this stuff figured out long ago - they adopted a virtual 7.62x51 military round about 50 years before NATO did.

Check out 307 Win. Almost the same as 308 Win, but rimmed (same rim size as 30-30). Tops out at 2600fps with 150gr according to Hornady 6th edition.

The trouble with the 307 is finding cases. (I sold mine 2 years ago)
The chambering was in a beefed up model 94BB with way more steel around the locking lugs at the rear.
The Ackley solution is easy.

If it would take the 307, then it would also take the 356 and the 375. I like all 3, and they deliver lots of power.
